Benefit Auction to be Held for Randall Erwin 

A benefit auction to benefit Randall Erwin and his family is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on September l5th at the Battiest School Cafeteria, in northern McCurtain County. Erwin, his wife, and a daughter were injured in an accidental fire on August 20th.. They are still recovering at the Hillcrest Burn Unit in Tulsa. 

The benefit auction is being hosted by the Battiest School, Kiamichi Family Medical Center, and Volunteer Fire Departments in McCurtain, Pushmataha, and LeFlore counties.  Participating Fire Departments include: Battiest, Bethel, Broken Bow, Eagletown, Garvin, Haworth, Hochatown, Hollycreek, Idabel, Millerton, Pickens, PineCreek, Ringold, Rule, Sherwood, Shinewell, Smithville/Octavia, Tom, Valliant, Watson, Wright City, Antlers, Cloudy, Honobia, Nashoba, Rattan, and Sobol. During the 12 years that Randall Erwin was a State Representative, he was a huge supporter of local fire departments, and all of our local fire departments are eager to do what they can to give back to Erwin. 

Auctioneers at the event will be State Representative Jerry Ellis and Idabel attorney Kevin Sain, who are both excellent auctioneers. A potluck supper will be held at 6:00 p.m. and the auction will start at 7:00 p.m.  Items needed for the auction include cakes, pies quilts, craft items, woodcrafts, etc.  Any other donations will be appreciated.
