Choctaw Community Center


The new Choctaw Community Center is host to a variety of activities for the community. Each Wednesday from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM, lunch is served. This is no charge for seniors 55 and older. Everyone is welcome, and there is a nominal charge for folks under the age of 55. On occasion the lunch is proceeded by some group singing, and bingo is enjoyed after lunch fpr those wanting to stay and take part.

Other events are also held in the community center as they come up, and several cake walks, pie auctions, music programs, and singings have already taken place there. The Choctaw Community Center has been a real asset to the community.

Saturday, July 19th., the Mountain Fork Singing Convention will meet for the summer singing. Music will begin at 10:00 AM, lunch from 12 - 1, and singing resumes from 1:00 to 3:00 or thereabouts. Come and enjoy some good old time class singing. Everyone is welcome.
