Octavia and Smithville Stations

The Octavia Volunteer Fire Department located  on the corner of Highways  259 & 144 houses Engine 1,
Rescue 1, and  Tanker 1.  This station also has a kitchen and meeting room, and is the setting for most of our Association's fund raisers, Association meetings, and other functions.

The new lettering on all trucks was provided by Conley-White Funeral Homes, owned by David & Carleen White and James & JoAnn Conley of Broken Bow, and was applied by Charles Nation of Hochatown. A big "Thanks" to all of them for their contribution to our Fire Department.

The Smithville Volunteer Fire Department  is located in downtown Smithville and houses Engine 2 and Rescue 2 which are on lease from the Octavia VFD.    Engine 2 is the new "Brush Truck" built by Rowe Industries and purchased with the help of a FEMA grant.   We took delivery of this truck in February, 2008. 

 This Fire Department  provides quick response to emergencies in the Smithville area, as well as backup for emergency happenings further north.
